Enhance your On-Line Spotlight CV with your own personal Voice Clip Selection.
We understand that cost can sometimes be an issue. Recording a demo to add to your “Actors Toolkit” can be expensive. So if you’re not ready to record one of our “full” demo packs, then this cost-effective solution is for you. Now you can enhance your online Spotlight CV by adding your Voice Reel without breaking the bank and giving you the web presence you need to get those jobs.
So what can go on my Spotlight reel?
Spotlight have very clear guidelines about what can and what can’t go on their website. If in doubt, download their Multimedia Form

- You can have a 2 minute montage as a single track.
- You can have two 1 minute contrasting clips.
- You can have four 30 second contrasting clips.
To be honest you can record any combination of commercial, documentary, classic drama, characters, a song, animation, poem, monologue etc: as long as the overall length of your showreel (combined or otherwise) is no longer than 2 minutes and your chosen material is out of copyright pre 1930 or has been cleared in writing for web use.
We supply your final clips on a master CD in both WAV and MP3 format. You can also email your MP3 files to multimedia@spotlight.com

Recording a new Showreel
If you’ve no existing material to edit from, you will obviously need to record your demo from the very beginning. We’ll take good care of you and guide you through the whole recording process. After all, it’s our job.
To get you started, we’ll give you a pre-session telephone/video consultation just to see what you have in mind, then advise you on what is needed to move it all forward. You’ll also have access to our glorious sound FX library giving your demo that extra “polish”. We encourage you to bring along your own material, because as an actor you will have a better idea of your acting ability and will have prepared speeches ready from past auditions to include on your demo. You also get 1.5 hours studio time with a professional voice producer who will take care of everything for you!
The Session
Your Spotlight recording session takes place at our West London Studios, an area well known for it’s creative energy. All our sessions are relaxed, friendly and intimate as well as on a 1-2-1 basis giving you the personal attention you’ll need to focus on producing your audio clips. We also never let a Demo leave our studios unless we are totally happy that it stands you a chance of getting work. Remember, our Logo goes on every Demo we produce.
