Do I really need to Update My Reel?
Well, that’s for you to decide. But here at The Showreel, we know there’s no such thing as “the Holy Grail” of Voice Reels. There will come a time when you need to update it to keep it fresh and exciting. An “old” sounding reel does you no favours. In fact it can often put potential voiceover agents and clients off! Remember, most listeners decide to hire or book a voice within the first 20 seconds of your demo. That’s why it it should contain only your best and most recent work.
Bring your Demo to us for some subtle “Tweaking”, or even a complete overhaul to be sure that your Reel is up to date, still represents your voice, and is relevant in today’s market.
The Good News!
Fortunately, updating your demo is relatively inexpensive. Often adding just one or two new reads will do the job. If you have copies of real work you’ve done, adding them to your existing reel is not a problem. All update sessions are 2 Hours long and at only £150 inc, it’s money well spent if getting more work is what you’re after.

Ok, apologies about this bit, but it’s important that you know how we run our studios.
- We can’t secure your chosen recording date without payment confirmation. Once your payment has been received, your Update Pack recording date will be in the diary!
- We also require 10 working days notice if you are going to cancel your chosen recording session. Then your deposit will be used to secure a new recording date that suits you. Otherwise unfortunately you will forfeit your deposit payment as your place could have been given to someone else.
