Develop your skills in producing audiobooks

NOTE: We now offer remote 121 sessions. In the current environment, to support the government directive of social distancing, you can progress your 121 training with a remote session. These are all very easy to set up – you just need a computer or tablet and we’ll send you a link to connect to our session. People with existing packs of 3 x 121’s, or those who are on a voice over journey, should be able to use their code for these remote sessions. You can book from this link.

Being an Audiobook Narrator is so much more then reading aloud – in these 121 coaching sessions we focus on developing the skills which define a great audiobook narration.  Learn to choose the right material for you, prepare texts, analyse and understand the narrative arc of any text and lead your listeners through the journey.  We look at developing Character Voice choices to engage your audience, pass-on essential workflow tips and techniques, and help you to prepare material for your audiobook demos or auditions. Learn how to produce audiobooks from home.

Craig is a UK-based American voice over artist. His distinctive mid-Atlantic accent has been used by major brands, eLearning developers, game producers and audiobook publishers around the world.

After starting life as a classically-trained singer, dancer and actor, Craig decided to pursue a career in business and spent the next 25 years working as a Management Consultant in the international financial markets, before ‘coming home’ to acting via voice over.

Thanks in no small part to his ‘big business’ experience, Craig quickly established himself as a busy, full-time voice over artist working with clients such as: Marriott Hotels, Carnival Cruise Lines, National Geographic, DHL, Credit Suisse, Finnish National Agency for Education, Audible Studios, Hodder & Stoughton Publishing, Gamesys, CAPCOM Games and THQ Nordic Games.

Craig has many audiobook titles under his belt and he uses this experience to tutor people on our 121 Audiobook sessions.

You can also purchase a pack of 3 1-hour 121s at a reduced price of only £65 a session – £195 for 3 x 1-hour sessions.

When you make a purchase, you will be sent a unique code that will allow you to make your 3 bookings. This code can be used to book any of the 121 sessions we offer.

Your code is valid for 3 months, and you can make any bookings for any future available date prior or beyond this.

I did my drama voice reel with Mike. Mike had obviously thought about each piece before I’d arrived and he was already prepared with some suggestions for musical settings and sound effects, which I had not been expecting. Mike has a strong musical instinct for what is going to work and a massive library at his fingertips. I appreciated how he listened and how he engaged with what I was trying to achieve. It felt like a collaboration and he was both patient and a perfectionist. While I am really looking forward to the final edit, I was delighted with the experience, and I look forward to returning for my next project.
